Bio
Corinne Ball has over a decade of experience connecting people with ideas and action. She combines a longtime love of technology with extensive on-the-ground field experience.
Corinne has been trained by groups including MoveOn and EnvironCitizen, and has run campaigns on local neighborhood issues, statewide legislative efforts, and taken part in national and international campaigns.
Corinne served as Head Organizer for the Oregon chapter of ACORN between 2002 - 2006. Under her direction, Oregon ACORN led the largest voter registration drive in the state of Oregon building up to the November 2004 election. The project added over 22,000 voters to the rolls. During that campaign, Corinne trained hundreds of volunteers, including allied organizations such as Driving Votes.
In October of 2006, Corinne suffered a spontaneous spinal injury, causing Spontaneous Intracranial Hypotension. While spending approximately 20 hours a day in bed for over a year, Corinne retaught herself webdesign, built two websites in Drupal, and dove into the world of online organizing.
Now, after a year-long recovery, Corinne spends her time working on various progressive projects. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of Bark and Long Distance Voter, and is the Online Communications Specialist for ForestEthics. She lives in Oregon.
