Brussels sprouts with garlic and herb butter
This is a quick recipe Andrew threw together. It's delicious!
1 lb. Brussels sprouts
1 clove minced garlic
3 tbs. butter
1 tbs. dried sage
2.5 tbs. olive oil (approximate)
salt to taste
Directions:
Cut brussels sprouts in half lengthwise and boil in plenty of water for five to seven minutes. Drain and set aside.
In a wide sauce pan, combine olive oil and butter over medium heat until butter has melted in with oil. Add garlic and sage and saute three to five minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add brussels sprouts to butter/oil sauce and cook for five minutes or until water from brussels sprouts has evaporated. Sprinkle with salt and serve.
Andrew notes that this is good with a little pepper, but gauge your pepper use on your own tolerance level. Many ICers can't have any pepper, so watch out!
